What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

It has been, and I guess it always will be watching them succeed. It's also watching how they handle disappointment. Each of them have their own way of handling life when it simply doesn't seem to allow them to see their silver lining. I always try to be there to listen to their frustrations. Everyone needs to find their own way of handling stress. I play my part by being a sounding board. And, having a fresh slice of homemade pie or cake placed in front of them, doesn't hurt!

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

Do not, no matter how it hurts, interfere when your, over the age of eighteen, child makes a decision that you are totally against! You will do it with what you think is right, and with the best intentions. But, when you find yourself pushing them in a direction you deemed right, they will most likely push back, harder! I learned that lesson the hard way. Thankfully I was forgiven and learned to give my opinion, and leave it at that! I just made sure they knew I would be there when needed.

What would you do with $20,000?

Me? A tattoo and name change. Then a solo vacation to a place that has been on my mind since I lost my soul mate. Then me and my sister would head to New York. We used to go there on field trips when we lived in Boston. I have always wanted to see a Broadway show, like The Lion King or The Phantom of the Opera. It's still on my bucket list!
