The most rewarding part of being a mom is realizing that even on the hardest days, my children still see me as their safe place. I’m raising little humans who feel deeply loved and valued, while they quietly teach me how to love myself too. After loss, it’s not just the milestones, it’s the simple fact that these moments exist at all. The chaos, noise, and exhaustion are reminders that they are here, and I don’t take that for granted. It is the most rewarding role I could ever have.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

Motherhood has taught me that taking care of myself is not selfish, it’s necessary. I’ve learned how to love myself and how to want to be my best self, not just for me but for my children. The better I take care of myself, the better I can show up for them. I can’t pour from an empty cup. I need rest, nourishment, and care just as they do. I also can’t speak kindly to my children while speaking negatively to myself. My children teach me new lessons everyday, we grow together.

What would you do with $20,000?

I would take my daughter to Disney for special one-on-one time. She recently became a big sister to triplets and has handled it with so much love, but she’s had to share more of me than ever. This trip would be our chance to make magical memories together and remind her how special she truly is. The remaining money would help cover unexpected expenses and lessen some financial burden so I could work less. That would let me spend more quality time with my children while they’ll still little.
