Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Although there are many, my most rewarding part of being a mom is witnessing the seeds of faith, hope, and love passed down from generations, blossom in my young adult children. It is truly a most beautiful gift that I hold dear and am profoundly grateful for.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

Through 27 years of marriage and raising four remarkable kids - including my precious son with an exceptionality - I’ve learned that the deepest love isn't about holding tight, it's about releasing freely. It’s heart-wrenching and requires a whole lot of surrender. While I give my children roots of faith and resilience, I am trusting in God's design as they soar. Letting go isn't losing them; it’s just watching those "roots and wings" catch the breeze. Both carry immense love.

What would you do with $20,000?

With $20,000, I would donate 100% of the funds to a local charity that is incredibly dear to my heart - The Light of Lucas. Born out of deep love, faith, and the absolute belief that every single life holds immeasurable value, this foundation exists to reflect God’s love by uplifting children and adults living with an exceptionality. We believe that every individual is uniquely created in God’s image, gifted with a distinct purpose, and possesses a light that deserves to shine brightly.
