The most rewarding part of being a mom is finding a purpose I never knew I needed. Being Mya’s mom has taught me patience, perseverance, and unconditional love. She’s a fighter—a preemie born at 1 lb 11 oz with Down syndrome, multiple surgeries—who through her strength has taught me more than I could ever teach her. Every day with her reminds me how powerful love truly is—she is my reason and my purpose. I’m a single mom working full time, and dedicating my life to her is my most important job.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?Biggest lesson motherhood has taught me is patience, perseverance, and unconditional love—the true meaning of love you don’t fully understand until someone is solely dependent on you. Mya may always be that person for me, and that’s okay, because being her mom is my purpose and priority. She comes before everything in my life.
