What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

Motherhood taught me that perfection is the enemy of presence. I spent so much energy trying to do everything “right” that I almost missed the messy, imperfect, irreplaceable moments right in front of me. My children don’t need a flawless mom — they need a loving, present one. Letting go of unrealistic expectations freed me to truly connect with my kids, laugh more, worry less, and find joy in the ordinary. That shift changed everything

What would you do with $20,000?

This money would be genuinely life-changing. I would use a portion to pay off debt that has kept our family from breathing easy, invest in my children’s education fund so their futures aren’t limited by finances, and set aside an emergency fund so one unexpected crisis doesn’t unravel everything we’ve worked for. Most importantly, I’d finally have the stability to model for my kids what financial responsibility and resilience look like — that’s a lesson worth more than any dollar amount.
