The most rewarding part of being a mom is watching little pieces of your heart grow into their own people. Seeing your love shape who they become, in ways both big and quietly beautiful, and witnessing firsthand how that pours into their lives and relationships. It’s in the small moments, the hugs, the lessons, the way they love others - that you realize you’ve given them something lasting, something that will ripple far beyond you.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

Motherhood has taught me that each child is uniquely their own, needing love in different ways. There’s no single approach, you have to meet them where they are. It’s also taught me to allow them to make mistakes, while giving them a safe space free of fear or shame. It is in that safety, they find the courage to learn, grow, and eventually make those choices on their own with confidence.

What would you do with $20,000?

I’ve been out of work and been experiencing unknown medical issues, which have added to our already strained financial state. I would first replace the AC unit in our basement where my mother in law lives with us. We’ve never taken a vacation without financial strain, and I’d love to give them that experience. Something joyful, eye-opening, and a chance to simply enjoy time together without worry. The money would give our family a rare sense of slight ease. That help would be life changing.
