Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding part is watching my daughter’s personality unfold. With her mop of curly hair, big brown eyes, and two tiny teeth, she is as hilarious as she is adventurous. Whether she’s pointing at cars out the window or crawling into the fridge while I cook, her curiosity is endless. We sing, dance, and clap together daily. Seeing her become her own social, joyful person, and hearing her laugh (my fave sound!), is a gift. The best part? I simply get to love her.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

Motherhood is a beautiful, humbling journey that has completely reshaped my perspective. I’ve learned it’s okay, and even necessary, to let go of the pressure to be perfect. My faith and reliance on God have grown immensely. Hence, my biggest lesson is that I can’t be "super" unless I recognize that He is supreme. Motherhood has taught me that He is truly in control, and leaning into His strength and grace allows me to show up more fully for my daughter.

What would you do with $20,000?

With $20,000, I’d invest in my daughter’s future and fund a trip to visit my in-laws abroad so they can finally soak in some quality time with their first granddaughter. I’d also love to host a fancy brunch for my community of moms; the women who truly got me through this first year. And of course, I’d want to get my husband something special. He’s my best friend and an amazing father who supports my dreams. It’s all about honouring the village that helps us thrive.
