My favorite part of being a mom? Getting a front-row seat to Lucy’s “firsts”—watching her try sushi like it’s a science experiment, light up on her first flight, or vibe at her first concert. But even better is the ongoing adventure of figuring out who she is, cheering her on, and helping her grow into her happiest, most fully herself kind of human.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?Biggest lesson? Having Lucy was basically like giving birth to a mirror—she reflects the best of me…and the “needs work” parts too. Motherhood has been a crash course in patience, flexibility, and empathy. And somehow, as she grows and I get to know her more, my heart just keeps stretching—turns out it doesn’t have a limit after all.
What would you do with $20,000?I would love to show Lucy how, with the $20,000 we can give back to our local arts community! Lucy and I are both very involved in local community theatre, so contributing to help financially to get more kids involved in local arts would be a great use of the $20,000.
