Every stage becomes my new favorite stage. To watch them grow from someone so small and helpless into a strong and independent young woman and man. I continually get a new and exciting version of them. I look forward to every bit of it. I once told a friend who wasn’t a mom yet that being a mom is like Christmas morning every day.

To give myself GRACE! To do my best everyday to listen to them, to love on them, to show up for them. I don’t have to be a perfect mom, I just need to be their mom. It’s ok to admit my mistakes, ask for forgiveness and promise to do better. To understand that each new day is a new version of me too. Lastly, I feel like my world became “technicolor” the moment I was a mom. With all I have done God blessed me to be able to walk in my greatest purpose, being Abby and David’s mom!

My husband and I would take the kids to see their Godmother (my best friend) in Minnesota. She has some serious medical issues and has been really struggling lately. Being with Aunt Ginger and Uncle Chris is a happy place for all of us. We try to go at least once a year if we are able to afford it. But, How exciting would it be to up and surprise the kids and her!!! That would be the perfect use of that money. To make it a trip with her they would never forget.
