What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

There’s about a million ways to answer this, but lately, I’m realizing it’s honestly just the time we get to spend with these humans that we created. It sounds silly but it’s true. I feel like I have a unique perspective because of the age gaps between my children, but it has shown me how quickly they grow, and has helped me appreciate each stage of the little ones even more, and helped me keep my oldest close as well. They are literally my reward, on the hardest days and on the best.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

Motherhood is a journey. Each stage has taught me the lessons I needed to learn to be able to grow as mother, a woman, and a human being. This stage of motherhood has taught me that perseverance is not optional. Life is hard. Life is messy. But we keep going, we keep working together, & we keep loving each other. Because at the end of the day, it’s the 5 of us, always and forever.

What would you do with $20,000?

With $20,000, I think we would take one “last” family vacation. I say last (not cryptically) because our oldest is going to be a senior in high school this coming school year, and after that, life as we know it is going to change forever. It’s a tough pill to swallow for this mom heart but it’s the reality of being a parent. So, although I don’t have an exact plan for what we would do or where we would go, our family will take the trip and spend the time together, just the 5 of us, one last time
