Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

I love watching my children grow and learn. I love seeing their faces light up when they learn something new or do something they're proud of. I think the most rewarding part of being a mom is just being loved by them though. Their hugs and snuggles will brighten the darkest of my days. When they put their little arms around my neck... It's just so rewarding to know that through all my successes and failures as a mom, they love me. And I certainly love them!

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

Motherhood has taught me to be gracious with myself. I used to feel like I always had to be "on." I felt pressure to look and act perfectly. Struggling through post partum depression, anxiety, and balancing teaching and motherhood really taught me to be my purest self. From there, I am able to love and support my family. I hope they see that and know that they are loved exactly as they are. I have learned a lot about what it truly means to be patient, kind, and loving through motherhood.

What would you do with $20,000?

I'd love to take my family on a fun vacation and do some projects around the house. We recently moved, and the move has been a big adjustment. Getting our house updated would help us all feel more settled. Also, we've never taken a big family vacation, and it'd be awesome to go to Disney World!
