I turned hardship into strength, creating a safe, loving life while teaching resilience, hope, and compassion every day.
We would like to thank you for supporting Amra Poskovic in this year's competition. Your participation made a huge impact for Children’s Miracle Network® and their mission to provide life-saving care and improve the health of children across the country.
The most rewarding part of being a mother is giving my children the life I didn’t have because of war. I strive to provide them with safety, love, and opportunity. I hope to teach them resilience, hope, and the importance of humanity. Seeing them happy and safe brings me the greatest joy, knowing they are growing up with peace and the chance to become kind, strong individuals.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?Motherhood has taught me that strength is found in both resilience and love. It has shown me that I cannot control everything, but I can create a safe, supportive space for my children to grow. I have learned the importance of patience, sacrifice, and leading by example, especially in showing kindness and humanity. Above all, it has taught me that even after hardship, it’s possible to build a life rooted in hope, and to pass that hope on to the next generation.
What would you do with $20,000?With $20,000, I would create stability for my family by paying off bills and building an emergency fund. I would invest in my children’s future through education and experiences, and set aside savings for long term security. I would also explore a small business or income opportunity to grow the money. My goal would be to turn it into lasting support, peace of mind, and greater opportunities for my children.
