Six kids. ER RN. Paramedic. Photographer. I turned life’s hard seasons into a foundation of safety, strength, and softness for my kids.
We would like to thank you for supporting Amber Axtell in this year's competition. Your participation made a huge impact for Children’s Miracle Network® and their mission to provide life-saving care and improve the health of children across the country.
The most rewarding part is knowing my kids feel safe, deeply loved, and truly seen. No matter how hard life has been, I’ve been able to give them a childhood rooted in connection, comfort, and consistency. Watching them grow into who they are while knowing I helped build that foundation means everything to me.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?Motherhood has taught me that strength is not just surviving hard things—it’s choosing, again and again, to lead with love. It taught me that healing matters, that presence matters, and that the way we show up for our children can change the story they carry forward. Being their mom made me become the woman I needed when I was young.
What would you do with $20,000?I would use $20,000 to create security, peace, and opportunity for my family. As a mother of six, I know how much stability matters, and I would use it to strengthen our home, relieve financial pressure, and create a softer, more secure future for my children. For me, it wouldn’t just be money, it would be room to breathe, rebuild, and keep turning hard things into something beautiful.
