My top two would be: 1. Watching new adventures, experiences, and interest through my kids eyes as they enjoy it for the first time. It’s like experiencing it for the first time again myself. 2. Seeing my daughter watch then implement something she’s seen me do and I didn’t realize she was watching.Ex: I will tell her “Let me think about it. It’s not a yes or a no. I just want to sleep on it before I make a decision.” Recently I witnessed her utilize this to make a big decision for herself.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?No matter how present I have been and how hard I tried to soak in all the moments, it still goes too fast! I showed up regardless of fears, sadness, being brokenhearted, during times of joy, excitement, and laughter. I sacrificed my career knowing my grave will say “Mother of…” NOT “Employee of…” I have NO regrets!
What would you do with $20,000?The responsible side of me says that I will put it towards housing for us. The fun side of me would dream about vacationing in a water bungalow in Fiji or Bora Bora as the responsible side drinks a marg, in a lawn chair, while soaking in the sun of our new home.
