Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

There isn’t just one thing that is the most rewarding. For instance seeing my kids enjoy life and achieve great things, even if it’s just “ look mom I did a handstand” after falling so many times. I love knowing they are turning out great despite me thinking I am not doing my best and that I wish I could do more. To know I am their safe space and they can come to me if they ever need anything and I can give them that nurture and support they need.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

I lost my mom at 19 so I had to figure out a lot on my own. I would say the biggest thing it taught me was that you are learning as much as they are. It is okay to not do laundry one day or stay in bed a little longer. Bad days and mistakes will happen, but as long as you keep trying and love yourself as much as you do them, then one day you will see you did better than you think

What would you do with $20,000?

Some towards a down payment towards a house instead of living in a small 1 bedroom apartment just the three of us. I would donate some to their school to do my best to keep programs from being taken away due to funding. Take my kids on a nice trip to see family they haven’t met yet. I have thought of creating my own kids gym or daycare, so spending some on learning about that as a business and taking steps towards that could help. I know so much I could do with it and will make the most of it.
