Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Seeing the best parts of myself come out in my kiddos. It literally brings me to tears when I see my kids extend kindness and compassion toward others or when they do the right thing in a hard situation. It makes me feel like I’m doing a good job as a mom by raising humans that are bringing good to the world. My 4 littles are always pushing me to be a better version of myself, and while I’m not perfect, they are constantly reminding me to give myself grace.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

Motherhood is teaching me presence over perfection…and while I haven’t fully mastered this, I am reminded everyday to have the dance party in the kitchen and let the dishes wait until tomorrow. I recently became a stay at home mom after the unexpected passing of my sister, and it’s been the biggest blessing because nothing matters more than being present with my children. I am abundantly grateful for this new perspective on motherhood.

What would you do with $20,000?

My parents, husband and I founded a nonprofit in my sister’s name after she was killed by a drunk driver in 2024. Her death has shifted my entire outlook on life; reminding me daily that time and family are irreplaceable. With $20k, I would donate to her charity-whose mission it is to foster human compassion through the arts, and I would also invest in family experiences that would build core memories for my kiddos. Nothing matters more than the time we have together.
