We would like to thank you for supporting Alyssen Coates in this year's competition. Your participation made a huge impact for Children’s Miracle Network® and their mission to provide life-saving care and improve the health of children across the country.

What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Watching them learn and grow and seeing their accomplishments. I love when they look for me on the field and in the classroom. They want me to be there and are excited when I show up even if it's hard.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

Patience and that I can do hard things. In foster care the biggest lesson is love and how to love unconditionally and fight for what they deserve.

What would you do with $20,000?

Pay off debt so we can live more freely. Then use some to start up my business so I can be home with my kids more. Also maybe a small vacation.
