Watching my girls figure out who they are and realizing they've been watching me do the same thing. The military taught me a lot, but motherhood taught me that the most important mission is the one happening right at home. Every time they take on something hard without flinching, I think... okay, something's working.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?That you can be competent, capable, and completely lost all at the same time! I've managed budgets, led teams, and navigated military, but nothing humbled me faster than a toddler with a strong opinion. Motherhood taught me that flexibility isn't weakness. Sometimes the best plan is just showing up and figuring it out.
What would you do with $20,000?Hanging up the uniform doesn't mean hanging up my ambition. I'd invest this money into launching my small business so I can build the next chapter of my life on the same foundation as my military career: purpose, discipline, and showing my daughters that strong women don't slow down. They level up.
