The most rewarding part about being a mom is getting to watch my kids grow and learn new things every single day. They are so inquisitive about the world around them and absorb information like sponges. I love getting to see everything through their perspective as they are learning and experiencing things for the first time. Seeing the world through the eyes of my children is a privilege that I cherish.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

The biggest lesson I’ve learned from motherhood is how much I am actually capable of accomplishing, knowing that my children are looking up to me at all times. As corny as it sounds, I am encouraged daily to be the best person that I can be for my children, whether that be in my interactions with them, in my mental and physical health, and in my professional life. I want them to be proud of me as their mom, and I feel like that has really fueled my personal development throughout the years.

What would you do with $20,000?

Being a single mom with no outside financial support is a struggle in itself. I pay for childcare coverage for when I am at work, and that leaves very little leftover for me to save. Because of that, my kids have lived most of their lives in tiny apartments. $20,000 would be enough for a down payment on a house so that we could have our first home of our own with a yard for them to play in. It would truly be a dream come true for us!
