Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

At the beginning, the most rewarding part of being a mom was experiencing that immediate and intense bond, knowing you’re their safe place. Throughout the early years, witnessing their growth and milestones was nothing but magical. Currently in the tween/teen era, I’m taking on the challenges, soaking in their unique identities, & watching them blossom into capable young ladies. These moments, while often occurring amidst utter chaos, also create a profound sense of achievement and love.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

Once you become a mother, you must forge your own new path and continue growing as a person. Everything about you is important too. Find what you need to keep your peace and balance- anxiety can easily creep in. You must take things one day at a time. Bless it, then release it! It’s the hardest/best job ever! You must accept help, be kinder to yourself, and don’t take yourself too seriously. No mother is perfect- but keep showing up, loving hard, giving grace, and keep going!

What would you do with $20,000?

I would finally wipe out the student loans I have remaining! It would be amazing to finally be free from that monthly payment. Once that is out of the way, I’d use the remaining money for education funding for my girls and some family travel.
