Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding part about being a mom is giving my kids the time and attention I didn’t get as a child, working in special education I have the same schedule as my children and don’t have to miss anything. I love seeing my children’s personalities grow, they are unapologetically themselves and I am so proud of that.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

I will never forget after I sold my house 4 years ago, I had some money set aside and took my kid's to Disneyland. As we walked into the Marvel side of the park they saw Spider-Man walking behind a building. They didn't understand that Disney put on skits, when sirens started going off and "bad guys" started running out for part of a Loki themed skit my kids yelled, "We will go get Spiderman to help!" and tried running behind the building they saw him go behind.

What would you do with $20,000?

My car just recently broke down, I am fortunate enough that we live on the same block as the high school I work at and the elementary my kids go to so we are able to walk, but I would purchase a reliable car for my kids.
