Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding part about being a mom is being able to fill in the missing gaps from my own childhood and upbringing. To witness how these changes are affecting his growth mentally, emotionally, and physically. I love how these changes allow us both new experiences and points of view that we both can share with one another. I love that he feels safe to share things with me. The joy I get from seeing his smile or receiving a random hug reminds me that our love is reciprocated.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

Although it is such a small gesture, I will never forget the greetings I received when I get home from work. He is normally home before me and every day when I walk though the door he greets me with such a warm embrace that makes me forget about any troubles from earlier in the day. It reminds me of how we used to rush to the door when dad would get home. A warm welcome is a feeling you can never forget.

What would you do with $20,000?

With $20,000, I would finally be able to have a home. A space where we can continue to create those fond memories. A space that he can decorate and call his own. A space where we can grow our plants outdoors, play sports in the yard, have birthday parties and get togethers. A space he can inherit.
