What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Being a single mother to my autistic son is the most rewarding journey of my life. Every day, I learn from him—his unique way of seeing the world teaches me patience, resilience, and the beauty in small moments. His perspective has reshaped mine, helping me appreciate life in ways I never imagined. Watching him grow, overcome challenges, and embrace his strengths fills me with pride. Autism hasn’t changed him—it’s changed me, for the better

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

I will never forget the day I gave birth to my son, bringing him into this world naturally and in the way of my ancestors as a Native American woman. It was a moment of strength, connection, and deep spiritual significance. Surrounded by the wisdom of tradition, I felt the presence of those who came before me, guiding me through each breath and each pain. When I finally held him in my arms, I knew this was more than just birth—it was the continuation of our lineage, our culture, and our spirit.

What would you do with $20,000?

If I won $20,000, the first thing I would do is buy a reliable vehicle for my son and me. Ever since I left his father due to his emotional, verbal, and severe physical abuse, life has been incredibly difficult. I had to sell our vehicle to cover emergency expenses, making everyday tasks and appointments a struggle. With a car, we’d regain our independence. I would also invest in learning tools and resources to support my son’s autism, ensuring he has everything he needs to grow, learn, and thri
