The most rewarding part of being a mom is being able to build our present and our future through the lens of my children’s dreams. With liberation, love and community at the forefront, I get to watch my children live an empowered and authentic life. We grow together and get to imagine and build our lives around the ideas that we conspire, and the goals we set together. That has been beyond rewarding, it’s been a miracle. My children are precious and they make me want to be better everyday.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?When I found out I was pregnant with my second, I asked my oldest how they might feel about having a sibling someday, to which they responded, “I already dreamt I had a baby sibling! I can’t wait to love and take care of a baby sibling!” They had no idea I was pregnant and that moment made my heart SOAR. I will never forget the grace and love and excitement in my baby’s eyes when they learned about our growing little family, about their baby sibling coming into this world.
What would you do with $20,000?I would use half of it to extend my maternity leave 2 more months so I could continue to spend my undivided attention with my 2 beautiful babies and then I would put the other 10k into our savings I have built up specifically to buy us a house. (I am on track to have that happen in 4 years but 10k extra would make it happen in 3!!!)
