We would like to thank you for supporting Vanessa Barrera in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.

What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding part of being a mom is seeing the love, strength, and values you’ve poured into your children grow and shine in them. It’s the hugs after a long day, the “I love you, Mom,” the moments they succeed, and knowing you played a part in shaping their hearts. It’s the bond, the laughter, and even the struggles—because through it all, you’re building something lasting: a legacy of love, resilience, and unconditional support.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

One memory I’ll never forget is seeing each one of my kids graduate. Watching them walk across that stage, knowing all they overcame, filled my heart with pride and joy. Each cap and gown represented late nights, tough love, prayers, and endless support. In that moment, every sacrifice I made felt worth it. Their success was my reward, and the tears in my eyes were proof of how deeply a mother’s love carries her children to their dreams.

What would you do with $20,000?

If I had $20,000, I’d use it to help my sister’s kids overcome the hardships that brought them into my home. I’d make sure they feel supported, safe, and seen. I would set up a college fund for each of them—so they know their future matters and they’re not defined by their past. I want to give them every chance to succeed, to heal, and to grow into strong, confident individuals who know they are deeply loved and believed in.
