Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

I feel so fulfilled as a mother when I can go on new adventures with my daughters. Showing them things in nature that I love, and gaining new experience with them is one of the greatest feelings. I have been so blessed with kids that love experiencing new things and aren’t afraid of adventure. Guiding outings but allowing them to lead and figure things out on their own, allows me to see things I have already experienced in a new light. My real reward is them.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

It’s really hard to sift through my favourite memories. In the past ten years there are two life changing memories that stand out. First; being a single mother with two three year olds moving from a small city in Canada to New York City, then opening our tattoo shop with my amazing boyfriend. Both scenarios my daughters have been just as excited as I was. Cheering me on, not being afraid of change , and going with the flow when i did always have everything sorted out makes me so proud of them.

What would you do with $20,000?

20,000 dollars would help make massive steps towards our goals. I would probably break up the amount in three chunks. I would like to open savings or investment accounts for my daughters. I would also like to try and expand our tattoo shop to house a few artists, so we could have a little bit more wiggle room financially to save and travel more. Traveling is getting more expensive now that our girls are getting older. And the last little bit I would like to pay off small debts I have acquired.
