Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding part of being a mom is watching my three beautiful children grow into their unique personalities while knowing I’ve played a part in shaping their values, confidence, and character. It’s in the little moments; the hugs, the laughter, the milestones, and even the challenges; that I feel the deepest sense of purpose and unconditional love. Being their safe place and biggest cheerleader is the greatest honor of my life.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

One memory of my kids that I will never forget is the day I took them with me to the school board office to sign my contract and officially accept my teaching position with Pinellas County Schools. As I signed, my children clapped and celebrated me;it was such a powerful, emotional moment. After going through a divorce while pregnant and enrolled in school full time, they were my motivation to keep pushing forward. Having them by my side to witness me step into my calling is unforgettable.

What would you do with $20,000?

If I were blessed with $20,000, I would first honor Jesus Christ by cheerfully giving my tithe and offering, acknowledging that every good and perfect gift comes from Him. I would then invest in my kids’ future by opening savings accounts that build interest. I’d also take my children on a much-needed and well-deserved family vacation. Lastly, I would start a consulting business dedicated to empowering single parents to create lasting, meaningful experiences no matter their circumstances.
