Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

For me, it’s when my kids show gratitude to me on their own. When they just come to me out of no where and give me a big long hug & say thank you mom, I love you. Or like when we have a family movie night together & they lay their head on my lap. (My oldest boys are 14 &16) and they will still do that. I never had that with my mom or dad so that is the most rewarding feeling for me as a mother.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

One sweet memory of my kids is when I had to leave my 6yr old’s father. My biggest fear was that Jax wouldn’t have a man figure to be by his side to cheer him on in life. It’s sad but what I’ll never forget about that is my 2 older boys telling me “Mom, Jax will always have us, no matter what. We will never leave him & always show up for him”. & they have.

What would you do with $20,000?

To be honest, I would put it as a down for a small house. Unfortunately, we live in an apartment (which I’m extremely grateful for) but it would help us tremendously. My biggest dream is to be able to get a small house for all my kids but especially my 2 older boys before high school is over. I feel like they have never had anywhere to call home. It kills me inside, a big regret of mine of having kids before having any assets to give them. But I know God has our back, and it will happen.
