Being able to be a mom is the most rewarding part of being a mom. It may sound cliche but I have my reasons. My lucky #7 is what I call him. Pregnancy loss was a huge struggle for me to a point I thought I never would be a mom. He’s taught me so much about myself. I now understand unconditional love and what being a momma bear means. He inspires me to do and be better not just for him but for myself. I make it a point to fight to be here because I have someone who depends on me.

One memory that will always stick with me is the smile on my babies face when he woke up the next day from surgery. He was six months old when he had to have surgery. He would cry so much because he was in pain and it hurt so much not being able to alleviate him from it. I was so nervous the day of surgery I broke down. The next day when he woke up he looked at me and his dad and gave the biggest brightest smile I had ever seen him give. He was a completely different baby then before he went in.

$5,000 would go straight to my sons bank account. $10,000 would go towards me building my medical courier service business to get it up and running. The last $5,000 would go towards me having funds to start my nonprofit helping at risk teenager girls in the inner city.
