Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding part of being a mom is knowing that my kids are safe and have a roof over their heads. I get to be apart of their every day routines and see them grow into amazing individuals. I pat myself on the back, knowing I was alone in middle of the night with feedings, I have potty trained boys on my own, or teaching them to read and write. Being a single mom is especially rewarding because my kids know that I am their safe space and they can come to me with absolutely anything.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

A memory of my children that I will never forget is the moment both of them were born. You go through 9 months of pregnancy, waiting on your little one, and that is the one memory I know will never fade. Those moments were the most surreal in my life, and took my breath away. Feeling your child, for the first time skin to skin, is something I will forever cherish.

What would you do with $20,000?

I would like to do many things with the amount of money listed. But the one thing I would do first is take my kids on a family vacation. It has been awhile since doing so, and I think it would be great to get away and have full one on one time away from home. Soaking in the sun. I would then like to put money to the side to save for a safety net. Being a single mother, having that sort of safety net would make our situation comfortable and not on edge. It would truly be a blessing.
