Mom of 4, survivor of abuse, rebuilt from a shelter, now in school to become a social worker—proof that God is a great counselor.
We would like to thank you for supporting TaNisha Thomas in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
The most rewarding part of being a mom is seeing your child grow into their own person—watching them learn, laugh, and become someone you’re proud of. It’s those little moments, like hearing them say “I love you” out of the blue, or watching them overcome something hard and knowing you helped guide them there. It’s feeling like all the sacrifices, sleepless nights, and worries were worth it because you’re raising someone who knows they’re loved.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget? One memory I’ll never forget is the first time my child reached for me after getting hurt—just that instinct to come to me for comfort. In that moment, I realized how much they trusted me to be their safe space. It was small, but it hit deep.
What would you do with $20,000?If I had $20,000, the first thing I would do is pay back some of the student loans I’ve taken out for school. Education is important to me, and while I know it’s an investment in my future, the weight of student debt can feel overwhelming at times. Paying down a portion of that would ease my financial stress and give me some peace of mind. After handling that, I would use the rest of the money to get ahead on bills and create a small safety net for emergencies.
