I was a teenage parent who beat the odds. I raised two smart, respectable children and I couldn't be more proud (of them and myself).
We would like to thank you for supporting Tanisha Robertson in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
The most rewarding part of being a mom, for me, is seeing my kids do great things. Knowing I raised two of the most kind hearted people brings my heart so much joy. I wouldn't change our ups or our downs cause it molded them into exceptional human beings. I actually cry sometimes because I did it.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?I'll never forget any memories. However, if I had to choose, it would be their hugs as children. Whether it was surprising them at school, walking in the house from work, rewarding them at the park, etc.. They would give me the sweetest tightest hugs that melted my heart. They were/are always so appreciative of everything. Even if it was just me showing up.
What would you do with $20,000?If I won the $20,000, I would definitely save some. I would also love to be able to temporarily cut my hours at work in order to go back to school and pursue a career.
