As a single parent, I'm putting my daughter through private school by myself. On top of being a liver transplant recipient back in 2020 .
We would like to thank you for supporting Tamika in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
The most rewarding part is watching my daughter get older and morph into this beautiful, intelligent young girl, who happens to look like me. I love listening and watching her mind grow and mature. It makes me feel accomplished to know I have a child who is so compassionate and caring towards others. She doesn't put out her light for anyone no matter the difficulties.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?I will ever forget the first few months of my daughter's life. Sometimes I wish I could go back and revisit that time. This little human is relying on me and trusting me with their life. All the smiles, giggles, clean diapers, dirty diapers... you name it. It is all rewarding, but I do have one memory of my daughter. She just received money for her birthday and she came to me and said "mommy here's $20 for gas or anything you need." It reminds me that I'm raising such a selfless child.
What would you do with $20,000?I would pay off my daughters tuition for private school, put money aside for college for her. The biggest thing is buy a house. My daughter doesn't consider our house a home because it's an apartment. I would love to have her grow up in her own house.
