What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding part of being a mom is watching my children grow and change and take on new experiences. Often we sit together and reflect on situations, both positive and negative, and try to reflect on what can be learned. Having front row seats to watch my kids grow and learn is so rewarding! I love to help my kids recognize their strengths and be aware of the areas in which they may need more work. I love how different they each are!

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

I can easily answer this with “family holiday dinners”. As a big family our holidays are always fun and eventful. One Thanksgiving after we ate the kids sat around the kitchen table and played beanboozled and challenged each other to the nastiest flavors which had us laughing for hours!!!! As hard as life can be it is so memorable to spend time laughing together.

What would you do with $20,000?

If I had $20,000 I would plan a getaway with my kids’ stepmom and my stepchildren’s biological mom. We would get manicures and massages and enjoy a weekend relaxing and having some much needed self-care. We would spend time telling stories about the kids and share memories about our past 8 years as “family”. With the leftover money I would plan something unique and fun with the kids.
