Receive Text UpdatesI homeschool my kids because I adore their little hearts. I am so honored to have been there for all of their special milestones so far. It brings me such great joy to teach them not only the school essentials, but how to have good character. I love seeing things that we talk about really start making sense in their hearts & start being displayed in their actions…things like selflessness, courage, & compassion. I also love being able to take them on adventures that encourage their interests.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?I remember one week I was having just an awful time dealing with health issues and a really really hard season that we were going through as a family…I was so overwhelmed with grief and fear that I could barely get out of bed. My kids took it upon themselves to make me breakfast in bed, and wrote me encouraging notes. They told me (and regularly remind me when I’m having a hard day) how much they loved me, and “Mom, you’re the best mom ever”, even though I was not feeling like it at all.
What would you do with $20,000?We have never had extra money for anything - my husband and I spent the first 10 years of marriage serving in a family ministry where we made no money….& after we moved on from that, we’ve been serving part time, and now my husband has moved full time at a camp that can’t afford to pay us…so we’re working to raise support. We would love to save up for our own home, and this would be a seed that we would invest, to be able to purchase a home for us and our kids as a place of our own.
