T'Keyah Wilson

I’m a super mom because firstly my daughter believes so. I am doing the best I can with what I have, and I can honestly say I amaze myself.

What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Thee most rewarding part is knowing that in raising my daughter, I’m healing myself. Everything I experienced as a child, teen, and young adult have allowed for me to be the best mom I can be.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

Our first day home from the hospital will be the most memorable. I exclusively breastfed my daughter, and when we were in the hospital, she did amazingly. Our first day home, though, it was like she forgot everything. I cried for hours while talking to her. She wrapped her arms around my belly and just held me. The best hug I’ve ever gotten was from my 4 day old baby.

What would you do with $20,000?

My daughter and I talk about opening businesses together. I would firstly set money aside for her future. Secondly, I would fund our first business. And we of course would go on our first mommy and me vacation. I’d love to experience another country with my daughter.
