What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding part of being a mom is watching my children accomplish their goals. I enjoy watching my eldest sing and participate in church. Watching my daughter graduate was the biggest reward for me as a mom. And seeing my youngest play football, and succeed in his personal goals make my heart smile. I feel rewarded watching them laugh and when they say, “I love you Ma.”

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

I will never forget the year I was diagnosed with my disabilities. I was really down for several months and in a lot of pain. It was my birthday and I was in bed. My kids came into my room with a rainbow birthday cake that they had. Three slices had already been eaten because they said they had to taste it for me. Lol

What would you do with $20,000?

I would take this $20,000 and apply it to my summer semester of Nursing school at Saint Louis University. Tuition is expensive and I don’t know how I’m going to swing it on my own. It would mean the world for me to finish school. Without funding I may have to drop it for awhile or switch to a different program. I’m determined to show my kids that through God we find strength and courage to complete anything.
