Raising my son as a primary parent while building a thriving company, serving my community. I do it all with love, resilience, and grace.
We would like to thank you for supporting Sylvia Dorisme in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
The most rewarding part of being a mom for me is watching my son grow into his own person, knowing I’ve poured my love, strength, and values into him every step of the way. It’s in the little moments — his laughter, his hugs, his resilience — that I see the impact of my presence and sacrifices. He is my greatest motivation and my proudest accomplishment.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?I will always cherish this moment with my son. During the hardest days of my divorce, after a long day of work, I picked him up, still having to respond to my attorney while trying to hold everything together. As I stood in the kitchen, on the brink of tears, he walked up, hugged my legs, and said, "I love you, Mommy." That little hug gave me the strength of a lion and reassured me that no matter the challenges, I had everything I needed to raise him on my own.
What would you do with $20,000?Since childhood, I’ve been passionate about improving my community. I co-founded a scholarship several years ago and host an annual event to support the fund. If I win, I’ll increase my contribution this year, help a fellow woman entrepreneur launch her business, and support my dear mother, who has gracefully raised six children. Knowing the freedom and blessings entrepreneurship has given me, I’m committed to helping others overcome financial struggles and build a better future.
