We would like to thank you for supporting Susana Barreto in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.

What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Everything !! From the moment they are born being blessed to guide them through the years and seeing their milestones … but mainly that we think we are the ones reaching them when in reality is us learning about life from them. loving fiercely, giving endlessly, and never giving up even when things get tough. My kids are my why, and every day I show them what strength looks like.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

Our first and only vacation as a family of 3 my sons and I bonded like no other and I will always keep those moments in my heart forever. It was more than just a getaway; it was our first adventure together. From watching their eyes light up at the sound of the ocean waves, to walking with them during beach walks under the warm Caribbean sun, every moment felt like magic. This trip showed me it’s about creating memories, laughing , and soaking in the joy of experiencing the world together.

What would you do with $20,000?

As a single mom, $20,000 would be a game-changer. I’d first create an emergency fund to give us some breathing room, pay off any lingering debt. I’d also set aside a portion for my child’s future—whether it’s education or extracurriculars. It’s not just money—it’s stability, peace of mind, and a step toward long-term security.
