I was a teenage mom, all odds were against me. Everyone said we wouldn’t make it. Now a mom of 3 and grandma to a little boy
We would like to thank you for supporting Summer Saaf in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
I've been a mom since I was 15 and today the weight of that caught me off guard. Not in a sad way, just in a whew, that's a lot of years to carry something so heavy and love it so deeply kind of way. I raised babies while I was still becoming myself. I made decisions before I even had the language for sacrifice. I've mothered through every version of me-broke, growing, healing, and rebuilding. I'm just in awe of the girl who became a mother before she even became a woman.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?Spending every Spring break at my family’s house in Florida and enjoying every second of our time away from school and work. 10 days a year of laughter and love.
What would you do with $20,000?I have been working hard to save money to be able to buy my first house. My kids and I have always rented and I would love a forever home for my grandkids to enjoy and make memories like my children have of my parents house. It would go towards my down payment!
