Seeing my children happy! Seeing them help each other and enjoy helping our community brings me such joy! Seeing them enjoy helping others and just being great kids makes me so proud and motivates me to keep working hard.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?Their ultrasound heart beat! I engraved each one’s heart beat sound in my heart and soul. The anxiety I felt for the technician to find and hear a healthy heart beat was always disquiet. Was my baby alive, was their heart rate in the normal range, what if there is nothing there? Then, I heard it, boom boom boom boom. And just like that all my doubts, my anxiety, my scariest fears disappeared. With each and every one of my children their heartbeat brought calmness, joy, even tears of happiness.
What would you do with $20,000?This past year my children and I have struggled emotionally and physically. we currently live in a two bedroom apartment (we’re a family of 5) If i were to win this prize I would use it for a downpayment for a house big enough for all of us. Being able to provide stability for my family would bring me the biggest joy, because my children deserve a home.
