Stephanie Hopkins-Winston

I never gave up. I raised two kids on my own, put myself through nursing school, and always made sure they had everything they needed.

We would like to thank you for supporting Stephanie Hopkins-Winston in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.

What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Watching my children grow into strong, loving, and unique individuals. Seeing the love, strength, and values I poured into them shine through every day.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

Wow I have so many. When my son, who has autism, said “mommy” for the first time. It was a moment I’ll carry in my heart forever. Every single milestone for a kid with special name is special. Most recent memory was my daughter is watching her walk across the stage at every graduation high school, college for her bachelors and Masters.

What would you do with $20,000?

I’d invest in my son’s future—therapy, education, and tools to help him thrive. I'd also give my daughter something special to show how proud I am of her.
