Special needs mom, nursing student, fierce advocate—raising warriors, chasing dreams & building futures with love and grit. #SuperMom
We would like to thank you for supporting Stephanie Arango in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
Everything I do is for them. When my daughter was diagnosed with Polymicrogyria, my world shook—but then came my son, my light. Together, they gave me purpose. They’ve taught me that strength is quiet, love is loud, and giving up is not an option. I rise every day because they deserve a future built on hope, resilience, and the unshakable belief that their mom never stopped fighting for them.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?I remember the day my daughter was diagnosed—I was devastated. I kept asking, “Why my daughter?” Not long after, I found out I was pregnant with my son. He became the light that pulled me from the darkest place. Looking back now, I see it clearly: her diagnosis was never a tragedy. It was a turning point. Both of my children were born perfect, and they’ve become the reason I live with purpose.
What would you do with $20,000?With $20,000, I’d launch my dream business: a consulting and training company that helps hospitals and clinics make resources more accessible to special needs families. As a mother to a medically complex child, I’ve lived the struggle of navigating a broken system. Families shouldn’t have to fight for support while caring for their child—they deserve guidance, compassion, and access from the start.
