I went to nursing school after my son was in the NICU, left an abusive marriage, raise my two kids alone for a bit, now have a happy family!

Watching the wonder of the world though their eyes. It’s easy to get lost in the fast pace of life, but slowing down to enjoy their learning is amazing. Working with sick babies every day at work makes me so thankful that I get the reward of watching my healthy kids grow up and experience new things.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget? When my son was born, he was extremely sick and it was unknown if he was going to pull through. I couldn’t hold him for the first few days because he was unstable. I knew then I wanted to go to school to become a NICU nurse. I started school while working full time nights, and then had his healthy little sister while still doing all of that. A favorite memory that I had was when I graduated nursing school, and got to watch my kiddos wear my NICU nurse grad cap, it came full circle.
What would you do with $20,000?Start a college fund for each kid, and use the rest for a family trip to Disney!
