What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Watching your daughter and grandchildren thrive. Living vicariously through them while seeing the world through their eyes. I’ve watched my daughter receive her LPN, RN and now she graduating with her Nurse Practitioner License this summer. It’s super rewarding watching her reach her goals and I help with my six grandchildren.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

The memory I’ll never forget is her birth. A few hours after her birth, I held her in my arms. I prayed and vowed to her a promise. I told her that I’d never spank her or call her out of her name. She’ll be 41 this month and I’ve never broken that promise. It was extremely important to keep that promise because my mother physically, emotionally and mentally abused me. I was determined to break generational trauma one generation at a time. That’s my favorite memory.

What would you do with $20,000?

I’d put $5,000 of it towards my grandchildren existing college fund. I still have three of the six yet to graduate. The 8, 11 and 15 yr old. I’d donate $5,000 of it to my favorite charitable organizations. I’d fund my nonprofit which advocates on behalf of women/girls who’ve been domestically/sexually abused and human trafficked.($10,000)
