Being able to break generational cycles and being someone that my kid can always count on. It’s also knowing that he is a good human and a reflection of all the good I try to put out into this world.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?I’ll never forget when my son recused a baby bird he found in our backyard, I walked outside and he was sitting on the swing with the baby bird in his lap, reading him a book while they waited for his mama to come back. It was the sweetest thing to watch him care for such a little creature.
What would you do with $20,000?I would use it to attend my college graduation ceremony. I’m a first generation college student, so this is big for my family. Every late night, every sacrifice, every moment of doubt I pushed through because of my son and my family. Walking across that stage will be my way of showing my son that hard work and dedication can over come anything, and that he was the reason I never gave up.
