We would like to thank you for supporting Stacey Pero in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.

What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Watching my little girls personality unfold everyday. Work can make life move very fast, but it’s the quality time that is so very special, and it’s in those moments that we get to see how our little leaders unfold. It’s the most rewarding to see the growth in real time; when time stands still. The beauty in the true art that we create that comes from within ourselves that we have to empower us as individuals; power through everyday, then witness the magnitude outward from our children.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

My little girl contracted RSV at three months old. The Hospital induced the wrong medication via the ventilator… my baby girl grew three diaper sizes and we spent Christmas and New Years in the Hospital, while their negligence was trying to be covered, but I’ll never forget the moment my baby girl was breathing again on her own and opened her eyes for the SECOND/first time and looked into my eyes.. and that’s truly when my little girls story began. I knew her resilience was going to be fierce.

What would you do with $20,000?

Invest in my little girl. Being a single income parent, our perspective must change in order have our ‘normal’. We would plan a trip for when she graduates so we could celebrate weeks and plan our distance adventure. I would allocate a portion to our debt, and this could be an example to saving, investing, and improving credit. Then, savings for my girl, replace our holy shoes and clothes, and some to our sitter who also struggle with a chronic illness. Her family is our family ❤️ Savings!
