Any mother who is constantly caring, advocating, showing up, and pouring from an empty cup is what makes a mother SUPER!
We would like to thank you for supporting Sonja Arevalo in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
The love and connection, Seeing the progress all my kids have made. Especially my middle one who’s on the spectrum, watching him overcome so many things and reach his goals. It hasn’t been easy but we’re in this together.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?Summer 2024. We had a graduation celebration for older sister. We had games food, and piñatas. Usually my middle child doesn’t do well with get togethers so we usually don’t have any. That day i wanted to cry of happiness. The happiness in everyone’s faces when Josiah played cornhole and hit the pinata for the first time is a memory that gets me teary eyed. I never thought we’d see a day when we can enjoy a get together again, and that day we did.
What would you do with $20,000?Life with 3 kids can be chaotic and we’re always on the go. With school, therapies, sports. Ect. I would like to invest some of it and double it if possible. Also, I would like to take my oldest on any vacation. Having a child on the spectrum comes with a lot of changes and sacrifices. We hardly do outings, we don’t trust many to babysit since younger brother can’t communicate well and my oldest has basically took a backseat. We all have. I wish one day I get to treat him to well deserved trip.
