I am a single mom to the most amazing 4 year old boy. I work full time, rent out 2 bedrooms for me and him and am 9 years sober.
We would like to thank you for supporting Skyler Cabrera in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
The most amazing part of being a mom is giving him the life I didn’t get as a kid. Watching his eyes light up at Disneyland, or when we play card games together and laugh until we cry. Watching him sleep. Cooking for him. Showing up for him emotionally, physically, mentally, and making him feel so supported in every situation, is the best part of being his mom.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget? One memory I’ll never forget is the first time i picked him up from school early and surprised him with Disneyland. He couldn’t believe we were actually going. He was so excited and even though he couldn’t verbally express it, he was so so grateful. Seeing how grateful and excited he got, something I’ll cherish forever and never ever forget. I just want to give him the world.
What would you do with $20,000?I would pay off the debt I have. I’ve struggled really hard as a single mom, and I’ve had to take out loans over the years to pay off credit card debt. So I would first pay off debt and then I would try to get us our own apartment instead of renting rooms like we are now. $20,000 would be life changing for me and my son right now. I’ve been praying to God every day for this.
