I am the mother of 3 amazing adult children. They are my lifeline and despite being grown, I still make sure they have everything they need
We would like to thank you for supporting Shelvia Ashford in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
The most rewarding part of being a mom is watching my grow up to be successful adults, and wonderful parents to their own children but at the same time, still being present in their lives to assist them with raising their babies. I'm giving back what my mom gave to me and I want them all to know that they can always call me when they need anything and I'll be right there.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget? My oldest child of 3, is 10 years older than the youngest. I've taught them to always support each other and to stay together. Despite the middle child living in California and the others here in NC, they still support each other. When the oldest child had her baby, we all stayed up at the hospital (in her room) until we were able to welcome our newest member of the family. It does my heart well to know that when I'm no longer here, they will have each other.
What would you do with $20,000?With $20,000 I would either take us all on vacation or split it with my children to help meet their needs. I love them dearly and try to spend as much time as possible with them.
